Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 17, 2026
Dissonant Capital LLC (“Dissonant Capital,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a real estate investment platform currently in formation. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through dissonantcapital.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information you choose to give us directly through the Site's forms:
- Introduction request form: your name, email address, and, optionally, your phone number, how you heard about us, any notes you'd like us to have, and whether you self-identify as an accredited investor under SEC rules. This self-identification is not a verification of accredited status.
- Newsletter signup: your email address.
- Careers inquiries: the Careers page does not host a form; applications and inquiries go directly to our recruiting partner by email, and are handled under that partner's own practices once sent.
- Investor Portal account and accreditation: if you create an Investor Portal account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored in hashed, non-readable form by our authentication provider). Completing the accreditation questionnaire additionally collects your legal name (or entity name, if investing through an entity), phone number, mailing address, the accreditation qualification method you select, and, if you choose to provide it, a supporting document (such as a letter from a CPA, attorney, or broker-dealer, or third-party verification service output). If you invest through the Portal, we also maintain records of your fund subscriptions, capital call notices, distributions, and account statements.
Investor Portal data, including uploaded accreditation documents, is used solely to verify accredited investor status, administer your investment, and comply with applicable legal and recordkeeping obligations. We do not collect financial account numbers or government identification numbers through the Site's public marketing pages; the Investor Portal's accreditation upload may involve documents that reference such information if you choose to submit them, and access to those documents is restricted to personnel who need them to complete your accreditation review.
Analytics and Cookies
The Site uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect or store any personally identifying information about visitors. Plausible reports aggregate, anonymized traffic statistics (such as page views and referring sites) that cannot be tied back to an individual visitor. The Site does not otherwise use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or cross-site trackers.
How We Use Information
We use the information you provide to respond to introduction requests and inquiries, send newsletter updates to subscribers, operate and improve the Site, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Sharing of Information
We do not sell your information. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the Site and process form submissions (including our hosting provider, Netlify, and our form-notification tooling), our Investor Portal's authentication and database provider, Supabase, and, where you contact us about career opportunities, with our retained recruiting partner, An Elite Placement. These providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf.
Data Retention
We retain the information described above for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Your Choices
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time using the link included in each email. To ask us to access, correct, or delete information you've submitted, contact us at invest@dissonantcapital.com.
Third-Party Links
The Site links to third-party destinations, including our Calendly scheduling page and our social media profiles. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third-party sites; we encourage you to review their own policies.
Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Security
We take reasonable measures to help protect information submitted through the Site, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
